QUED Tech Labs Code of Conduct

Purpose: QUED Tech Labs is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for students aged 7-16. This Code of Conduct outlines the expected behavior of all participants, including students, instructors, and visitors, to ensure a positive experience for everyone.

Expected Behavior:

  1. Respect: Treat all individuals with respect, kindness, and consideration, regardless of their age, gender, race, religion, ability, or background.

  2. Safety: Prioritize safety at all times. Follow safety guidelines provided during workshops, especially in Virtual Reality settings, and report any safety concerns immediately to staff.

  3. Inclusivity: Embrace diversity and inclusion. Do not engage in discrimination, bullying, or harassment of any kind. Be welcoming to all participants, regardless of their background or abilities.

  4. Attendance and Punctuality: Attend classes and workshops on time. Notify instructors or staff in advance if you cannot attend a session.

  5. Responsible Use of Technology: Use technology resources responsibly and only for educational purposes. Do not engage in hacking, piracy, or any illegal activities.

  6. Respect for Equipment: Treat all equipment and materials with care and respect. Report any damage or malfunction promptly to staff.

  7. Cleanliness: Keep the lab and workshop areas clean and organized. Dispose of trash and materials in designated areas.

  8. Privacy: Respect the privacy of others. Do not share personal information without consent.

  9. No Unauthorized Access: Do not access any part of the facility or equipment that is off-limits or without proper authorization.

Unacceptable Behavior: The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

  1. Bullying, harassment, or discrimination based on race, gender, religion, age, disability, or any other characteristic.

  2. Offensive or inappropriate language, including profanity and hate speech.

  3. Theft or vandalism of property belonging to QUED Tech Labs, instructors, or other participants.

  4. Unauthorized use or distribution of copyrighted material.

  5. Disruptive or disrespectful behavior that hinders the learning experience of others.

Consequences: Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary actions, including but not limited to:

  1. Verbal warning or counseling by an instructor or staff member.

  2. Removal from a specific workshop or activity.

  3. Temporary suspension from QUED Tech Labs programs.

  4. Permanent expulsion from QUED Tech Labs programs.

Reporting Violations: If you witness or experience a violation of this Code of Conduct, please report it to a staff member or instructor immediately. Your concerns will be taken seriously, and appropriate action will be taken.

Review and Updates: This Code of Conduct may be reviewed and updated periodically to ensure its effectiveness and relevance. Any updates will be communicated to all participants.

By participating in QUED Tech Labs programs, you agree to abide by this Code of Conduct and contribute to a positive and respectful learning environment.
