Bringing Technology, Creativity, and Opportunity to Bronzeville

Over 40 students. Four hours. Countless moments of inspiration.

At QUED-UP, we believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to explore the technologies shaping tomorrow. That's why we were honored to participate in the Bronzeville Youth Innovation + S.T.E.A.M. Fest, hosted at South Side Sanctuary in partnership with the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE).

The event brought together families, educators, community organizations, and industry leaders for a day focused on innovation, creativity, entrepreneurship, and opportunity. We were proud to be one of the organizations helping make that vision a reality. Type your paragraph here

Inspiring the Next Generation Through Technology

Throughout the event, the QUED-UP team introduced students to immersive technologies through our Virtual Reality (VR) experiences and digital animation demonstrations.

Students stepped into interactive virtual worlds using VR headsets, many experiencing virtual reality for the very first time. Others explored how animation is created and discovered that the games, movies, and digital content they enjoy begin with creativity, storytelling, and technology.

In just four hours, we had the privilege of serving more than 40 students, helping them see that careers in technology, animation, artificial intelligence, game development, and digital media are within reach.

Seeing students light up as they explored these experiences is exactly why we do what we do.

Celebrating Community Leadership

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Cecilia Cuff, Founder & Developer of The Nascent Group and President of IAYV, for inviting QUED-UP to participate in this incredible event. Her dedication to creating opportunities that uplift families and empower young people continues to strengthen communities throughout Chicago.

We also want to recognize the outstanding work of South Side Sanctuary.Their mission is to empower Bronzeville by promoting creativity, wellness, entrepreneurship, and economic opportunity while creating spaces where residents can heal, connect, and grow together.

Their commitment to building a stronger and more resilient community aligns closely with QUED-UP's mission of using technology and education as tools for empowerment.

Special thanks also goes to Aaron Ireland and our longtime partners at LOTUS Chicago for their continued collaboration and dedication to expanding opportunities for youth across the Chicagoland area.

Supporting the South Side Community

Our partnership with South Side Sanctuary extends beyond events.

QUED-UP is proud to offer technology support and services to organizations, businesses, entrepreneurs, and community members connected with the Sanctuary. Whether it's technology education, digital media, creative services, website development, computer support, animation, or emerging technology solutions, we are committed to helping strengthen the community through innovation.

Looking Ahead

The Bronzeville Youth Innovation + S.T.E.A.M. Fest reminded us that innovation begins with access. When students are given the opportunity to experience new technologies in a welcoming environment, they begin to imagine new possibilities for themselves and their futures.

We are grateful to South Side Sanctuary, Cecilia Cuff, The Nascent Group, IAYV, Aaron Ireland, LOTUS Chicago, DCASE, and everyone who helped make this event a success.

We look forward to continuing these partnerships and bringing even more technology, creativity, and opportunity to communities throughout Chicago.
